Murcar Links Championship course has a par of 71 and a standard scratch rating of 73. There are 5 sets of tees to select from with the back tees (6462yds) having a USGA rating 72.8 and USGA slope rating 136.

Murcar Links hosted  the R&A Men’s & Women’s Home Internationals in 2024, having previously hosted the R&A 123rd Amateur Championship qualifying rounds in 2018.

The course is a European Tour venue, hosting  the Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play in 2016. The pedigree of Murcar Links Championship course is well established. Murcar Links has risen to No 91 in the Golf Monthly Top 100 courses (2023) with the review stating “Murcar is a fabulous and traditional links with elevated tees, gorse and wide views out to sea”. In a feature article in Jan 2025 Golf Monthly reviewers also described Murcar Links as a “testing but hugely entertaining course with much to recommend”
